Metuchen is a small town in Middlesex County. There are many different restaurants there, but we opted to try Torino, a small Italian restaurant. We walked in and they took us right away.
The first surprise at this cute restaurant were the pasta straws! It's the first place that we have been to that used pasta straws instead of paper or plastic. These straws never became crumpled or squished either!
The service was quick and pleasant. They brought us bread and oil. Next up, we ordered the calamari balsamico. It was a large plate, shareable for 2-4 people. Then, we had an entrée of three-cheese ravioli with marinara sauce, and a crème brûlée for dessert.
Pleasant music played in the background and the experience overall was very nice. While we were dining there was also a birthday party in the room next to ours, but it never once got too loud or affected the speed of service.
