We went on a lunch cruise to celebrate the upcoming holidays. We boarded the cruise from Liberty Landing Marina in Jersey City, and we enjoyed views and great food the entire time (about 3 hours).
The cruise ship was three floors and decked in holiday decorations. The second floor was for cocktail hour and waiters traveled around with small appetizers. Later, everyone moved to the first floor of the ship to enjoy a buffet lunch. There were various options of food, such as salad, vegetables, pasta, and options of meat (vegetarian options included), and later dessert. Both floors had cash bars. The third floor was reserved for the DJ and dancing, but also offered a fantastic view that was sheltered from the wind.
We caught sights of the Statue of Liberty, Hudson Park, Brooklyn Bridge, and more. We were lucky and caught a specially warm day for December and enjoyed spending time at the front end of the boat taking in the views and enjoying our company. There was an outdoor second floor area to enjoy as well.
These cruises are available year-round, but there was something special about catching a beautiful warm December day to spend on the water.
