It’s no secret that Mountain Creek Waterpark has a wild history. Although it was once considered the most dangerous park in the world, all its problems have been fixed, and today it is one of my favorite parks in New Jersey. Mountain Creek Waterpark has some of the best water and raft slides I have ever experienced.
When driving to the park, all visitors need to park across the street and go over a bridge to head to the main entrance. Once you enter the park, I recommend buying a locker immediately and then getting in line for a raft slide named the Colorado River as early as possible. This is a 3 ½ minute long river raft slide that was easily my favorite ride in the park; however, I waited 45 minutes for my one ride because I didn’t know anything about this raft before my visit, and it has a low throughput.
Some other notable attractions I recommend are the Alpine Mountain Coaster, Bombs Away, Canyon Cliff Jump, and Zero-G. As a coaster enthusiast, the Alpine Mountain Coaster was my most anticipated attraction, but I had to wait until 2 PM before it opened. If this coaster is another ride that you must experience, make sure that you head over to this attraction as soon as it opens because it will also form a long line.
Another positive aspect of this park is that none of the attractions broke down throughout the day, and I was able to ride every major slide. Overall, I recommend this waterpark, especially to theme park enthusiasts who love thrilling waterslides and the crazy history of this park.
