Belmar Beach is a great place to visit on the Jersey Shore, south of Asbury Park and just across a bridge from Avon-by-the-Sea. Just across the boardwalk nestled between 5th and 6th Avenue, Silver Lake hosts a beautiful view with a gazebo, paths, fountains, and benches. After a trip to Freehold, NJ we stopped by Belmar and Silver Lake to enjoy the sea breeze and catch the sunset.
If you aren’t going to enjoy the beach at Belmar, you can always walk through the town to check out the small shops or to grab a yummy treat at one of the ice cream shops. The Belmar Marina also has a lively scene, especially as the sun goes down. The restaurants there often bring in live music and a great atmosphere.
