On August 30th, 2022, we visited the Tulip Tree Café and had lunch there. We had heard about this café from a page on Facebook and decided to check it out. Our first impressions were that the restaurant had a simple but pleasing vibe to it. The decorations looked very nice, and they had a cute outdoor seating area, but unfortunately it was under construction during our visit.
Once we sat down, we ordered the avocado toast, the roasted veggie sandwich, and the Cali burger, which are seen down below.

Although our food was delicious, the service was underwhelming during our visit. We waited about 35 minutes for our food, and our server only visited us three times while we were waiting. Also, unlike most eateries, this café had little cubbies with utensils and straws at each table. We are not used to utensils being presented this way, but they were very clean. Before we left, our server apologized for the slow service since we came at the tail end of the busiest time. We appreciated that she acknowledged the wait. We also wonder if it was slow because we only saw two or three cooks. Aside from the wait, it was a pleasant experience, but next time we will get takeout instead.
